Improving Mathematics at KS2 and 3

15:45–18:00 on 25 June 2018

Teachers and children are facing increased challenges as part of a more demanding mathematics curriculum across all Key Stages. This session aims to give teachers an overview of the eight evidence-based strands from the EEF’s recently published guidance report.  Topics include:

  • Using manipulatives
  • Strategies for problem solving
  • Using calculators
  • Strategies for independence

We are really lucky to welcome Peter Henderson from the Education Endowment Foundation to lead this course.  Peter is a co-author of the guidance report into improving mathematics and is also an editor of the EEF’s Teaching and Learning Toolkit and the Early Years Toolkit.

This course is aimed at: KS2 Maths Leads, KS3 Maths Leads, maths teachers, school leaders and maths advisors

This course is led by: Peter Henderson from the Education Endowment Foundation and co-author of the EEF report ‘Improving Mathematics at KS2&3’

This course will take place: on Monday 25th June from 3.45-6pm at Sandringham School

Cost: £30 covering all refreshments, resources and copies of the EEF guidance report
